Registration for customs clearance single window begins

All importers, exporters and trade brokers who are interested in gaining access to the Customs Clearance Single Window are asked to submit their applications to the customs authority.

The Customs Clearance Single Window is a highly anticipated, new e-service that allows authorized users to complete customs procedures electronically for goods entering and exiting Qatar ports. Authorities hope the single window will help streamline the process of customs clearance, reducing the number of customs inspection to just 5% of all imports.

Users of the single window will be able to submit and modify customs data and manifests, make payments, request for duty refund, apply for temporary entry and more online. The portal also features a convenient reference tool for looking up tariff codes as well as a duty calculator.

Registration is required for all users, who are sub-divided into the following three types:

  • Authorized signatory
  • Administrative supervisor
  • User

Further instructions and all relevant application forms are available in the Customs Clearance Single Window Registration Package.

Applicants can submit the completed forms along with all required documents directly to www.ecustoms.gov.qa after logging in with the Smart Card. Another option is to submit in person through the customers service desk of Maritime Customs at the Port of Doha.

For more information, call +974 44457124, 5 or 6, e-mail callcenter@customs.gov.qa or visit the Customs website at www.customs.gov.qa.
