ROTA thanks the Qatar Olympic Committee for Award

Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) thanked the Qatar Olympic Committee for awarding it the “Best Social Event of the Year”  for the Wheels n’Heels event held in November 2010.

The 2010 Wheels N’ Heels event took place on the 5th and 6th of November and attracted over 10,000 people.  The event raised awareness for ROTA’s education and humanitarian programs, raising over a million and half Qatari riyals for the projects.

“We are grateful for this award, and thank the Qatar Olympic Committee for bestowing upon Reach Out to Asia this great honor,” said Mr. Essa Al Mannai, Director of ROTA. “The overwhelming success of Wheels N’Heels 2010, and the subsequent prize from the Qatar Olympic Committee, would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the event sponsor,  partners and ROTA dedicated staff ”

The event was made possible with the financial support and participation of Flagship Sponsor Qatar Petroleum, Leadership Sponsor Jaidah Group, and Official Fundraiser HSBC.  In addition, ROTA partnered with the Qatar Cycling Federation, Aspire, Aspetar, Girls on the Go (part of Vodafone Qatar’s ‘World of Difference Program’), Qtel, Qatar Tennis Federation, the W Hotel, the Qatar 2022 World Cup Bid Committee and Doha Land.

“We just wanted to recognize and thank those that made the event possible,” added Mr. Al Mannai. “The Qatar Olympic Committee prize is an award to be shared by all those involved for making the 2010 Wheels N’Heels the most successful one yet.”- refer to the upcoming Wheels & Heels in February which shall be of more success- preparations have started already.
