Trading sources have revealed that Qatargas will cut production including condensates in October due to maintenance at its liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant, Reuters has reported.
One gas trader has said that the maintenance comes at a delicate time, just when the winter heating season kicks off, and when the LNG market is already tightening because of Japanese thirst.
Sources said rotating maintenance at three LNG trains, numbers 5, 6 and 7, between mid-September and early November will curb production. Repairs at each train will last for about two weeks.
