Mahmood Al Nasheet, Director of media communications at Daily Public Relations Institution in the kingdom of Bahrain, appreciated rapid growth witnessed by the public and private sector in the State of Qatar achieved by a group of public relations specialists emphasizing the importance of this sector and supporting developments programmes taking place in the state within the Economic Vision 2030.
Al Nasheet said, delivering a speech before a crowd of volunteers about the art of communications management at the departments of public relations, that public relations is the perfect way for any sector to deliver its activities, events, and achievements to the public locally, regionally, and globally through media variety especially companies that are keen to social contribution which make Qatari public aware of these parties’ achievements through the media.
“State of Qatar has a prominent position in various media for public relations expertise role in publishing national achievements, various events and programmes for different sectors like tourism, sports, arts, and media and communicating with external audiences which is one of the modern methods in the art of communications management,” Al Nasheet added.
He explained that direct deals with the media communications departments at companies and institutions whether in public or private sector are encouraged by various media.
Communications departments’ workers are the only ones who can provide media with the required information locally and externally and have the access to decision makers and media statements which save time and give the published news more credibility.
“Although public relations industry changes automatically on daily basis that any one wants to join it should be continually updated, the language of this industry is the same among all employees represented by the institution to which they belong.” Al Nasheet concluded.
