ictQatar to host second annual QITCOM ICT Conference & Exhibition

The Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology of Qatar (ictQatar) announced the launch of QITCOM 2012 yesterday. The second edition of Qatar’s only ICT Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from March 5-7, 2012.

Ali Al-Khulaifi, Market Development Department Manager- ictQatar, shared the plans for QITCOM 2012 at the launch saying, “QITCOM aims to link policy-makers, ICT technology providers and the country’s large-scale ICT consumers. It is a platform where these groups can meet to discuss the sector and the shaping of technology into end-user services that advance the development of Qatar towards a knowledge-based society. It is an opportunity to focus on the solutions being developed in Qatar, while also allowing international players to showcase how they are pushing the boundaries of ICT as we know it. QITCOM’s focus on innovation aligns directly with Qatar’s 2015 ICT Strategy.”

QITCOM’s focus on innovation will be evident across all streams at the event. The three-day conference program will deal with cutting-edge topics within ICT, but will focus on innovative solutions within those topics. The exhibition space will be a destination for local, regional, and international companies to showcase their innovative solutions.
