Al Mannai Hospitality, the prominent Food and Beverage Company, launched its new Lebanese restaurant, Al Balad, with a lunchtime opening ceremony in the presence of VIPs, prominent businesspeople from around the city and local press.
Located in Doha’s bustling finance and business hub, Financial Square, Al Balad serves a large variety of traditional Lebanese dishes.
The famous restaurant was founded in 1999 in the heart of Beirut, quickly making a name for itself as a specialist in reinvented Lebanese cuisine served in a casual, convivial setting. Building on its early success, Al Balad went on to expand across the Middle East, opening branches in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The owner of Al Balad Group, Pascale Barakat, commented: “We are extremely delighted to witness Al Balad open its doors in this ever-growing country. Along with our partner Al Mannai Hospitality, we are very committed to offering our customers the mouth-watering Lebanese cuisine and welcoming ambiance”.
Mr. Barakat added: “Al Balad Group has ongoing plans to expand its franchise globally, and Qatar is yet another big leap towards achieving this vision. We intend to make Al Balad a roaring success in Doha, and to open a second restaurant in this vital city in the near future.”
Elie Matta, Manager of Al Balad Qatar, said: “Our menu features a wide range of dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients, including some fantastic and unmissable desserts! Al Balad will open daily from 10am to 2am, and we are looking forward to welcoming Doha’s diners with our special blend of delicious food and relaxed ambiance.”
