Qtel sees strong demand for Samsung Galaxy Note

Qtel is seeing strong sales of the latest wireless mobile devices, with more than 40 percent of customers in Qatar now using some type of Smart Device.

This trend has been underlined by record sales of the latest Samsung Galaxy Note, which combines the core benefits of an up-to-date tablet with the portability of a smartphone. Qtel has set-up special “Experience Zones” at retail presences throughout Qatar to enable customers to try out the new devices, and has seen a high level of interest.

The Samsung Galaxy Note was created as a primary device to minimise the need to switch between devices while on the go. It provides a notebook resource, where people can jot down ideas and mark key images, and the large clear display of a tablet computer, as well as the standard features of a Smartphone, digital camera and games machine.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Note uses an Android operating system, so that people can easily download some of the most popular applications. Qtel has invested significantly in support for the most advanced network in Qatar, so that people can use mobile Broadband quickly and effectively, wherever they are.

In addition, the company provides a range of special Mobile Broadband Packs, available in both Hala and Shahry formats, so that people can use their smart devices to their full potential. Qtel has pledged to continue to invest in upgrading Broadband facilities, including a gradual move towards 4G services in Qatar.

In a recent Facebook poll of Qtel customers, the Samsung Galaxy Note was the most popular Android device on the market, although BlackBerry Smartphones continue to be the most popular device overall.

For more information, or to try out the Samsung Galaxy Note, customers can visit Experience Zones in Qtel Shops across Qatar. Alternatively, customers can find out more at www.qtel.qa.
