Vodafone Qatar makes new appointments

Vodafone Qatar Q.S.C. (“Vodafone Qatar” or “The Company”) today announced new appointments to the Company’s Management Team. 

Matthew Osborne

Mr. Matthew Osborne has been appointed as Director of Legal & Regulatory and Mr. Wade Kirkland as Director of Strategy and Planning.

Matthew Osborne’s background is as a corporate / commercial lawyer qualified in New Zealand and England & Wales. Prior to joining Vodafone Qatar he held the role of General Counsel of Vodafone Ireland for four years from May 2007 to May 2011.  

Matthew has also previously worked in private practice as a corporate solicitor for top tier private practice law firms in New Zealand, London and Dublin with experience across a range of corporate and commercial and transactions.

Matthew holds a law degree from the University of Canterbury and a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Auckland University.

Wade Kirkland

Wade Kirkland was promoted to Director of Strategy and Planning after three years in Vodafone Qatar’s finance department, including a period as Acting CFO.

Wade joined Vodafone Qatar from Vodafone New Zealand where he held a number of management roles in Finance over a 5 year period.

“Mr. Osborne and Mr. Kirkland are both highly experienced professionals.  I welcome them on board and look forward to working with them,” said Richard Daly, CEO, Vodafone Qatar.
