Tourists and residents now dining among the stars as Strata opens at InterContinental

The newest dining and lounge experience in Qatar – Strata at InterContinental Doha The City – is enabling both tourists and residents of Doha to reach new gastronomic heights through a seafood-centric menu, enjoyed on the 55^th and 56^th floors of the West Bay tower.

Offering a selection of three caviar and four oyster options, as well as chilled ‘indulgence’ platters of hand-chosen seafood served alongside Chef’s sauces, salad and bread, Strata’s menu encourages guests to share their choices while enjoying the country’s striking views in all directions.

Contemporary Asian flavours round out Strata’s offering, with sashimi, slow-cooked lobster and smoked cod proving to be early favourites.  The Strata Compilation – an adventurous dessert platter for two — plus mango carpaccio, warm apple tartin and homemade ice cream are among Strata’s final course choices, providing a fitting end to the meal for guests.

With a beverage menu encompassing 153 of the finest ingredients, Strata is also set to become a meeting point on Doha’s ‘lounge’ landscape. Classic, signature beverages are available alongside ‘molecular’ refreshments produced through foaming or smoking techniques, with a range of fresh juices and mocktails cleansing the palates of both in-house guests and Doha residents.

Strata is now open for dinner, six nights a week and is closed on Mondays.

On Wednesday 16 May, the new hotel is also set to open Prime, a high-end restaurant specialising in the finest steak and grilled meat dishes. Nai, an authentic Lebanese restaurant will also open towards the end of the month.
