GWC named “Best Logistics Infrastructure in the Middle East” in SCATA Awards 2012

Qatar’s leading asset-based supply chain management company, Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) has solidified its position as the fastest growing logistics company in the middle east by winning the “Best Logistics Infrastructure in the Middle East 2012” title at the Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA 2012).

Mr. Shebl El-Khayatt, Director – Logistics Village Qatar received the award at a gala ceremony held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel and Resort, Dubai.

The awards, held last week was the 6th Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA 2012) in Dubai, are designed to recognize those Middle East logistics industry’s achievements over the past 12 months. The event saw a total of 17 awards handed out across a range of logistics companies in the Middle East.

Mr. Shebl said that the award acknowledges GWC efforts in building the Logistics Village Qatar (LVQ) to support the growing needs of the logistics industry in State of Qatar. LVQ is Qatar’s largest and most modern Logistics Village which became operational in 2011.
