adidas Originals has launched an exclusive Euro-inspired collection in anticipation of the UEFA 2012 European Football Championship which is set to thrill football fans across the region in June.
Available in adidas Originals stores in the Qatar from May, the Euro-inspired apparel features the legendary Originals trefoil with country specific variations so that fans can honour their favourite teams. The classic three-stripes detailing also features in different colour ways, representing the national colours of the main contenders in the championship such as England, Italy, Spain and Germany.
Highlights of the collection include two variations of the iconic ‘72 Track Top that feature country emblems of England and Germany emblazoned across the chest. The roaring head of a lion represents England’s emblem of the famous three lions and is complete with patriotic red and white detailing. Similarly, Germany’s fierce eagle appears centre stage with black, red and yellow forming the three stripes that run the length of the arm.
A canvas variation of the Plimsalao footwear is the highlight for this collection, again with country specific colourings. Timeless classics such as the Track Top and the Polo also return with additional detailing including football-inspired motifs, flags and numbering in a host of fresh, vibrant and patriotic colour ways.
The Euro collection combines everyday street wear with familiar sporting themes and gives fashion conscious football fans an opportunity to show their patriotism while embracing the spirit of the Euro tournament in their choice of leisure wear.
In 1972 the iconic trefoil of adidas Originals was showcased for the first time at the Munich Olympics and has been worn by champions across the globe in many sporting events in the years since. Today, it represents innovation and authenticity for style savvy lifestyle and sports fans.
The adidas Euro collection will hit adidas Originals stores in the Qatar in May 2012. The adidas Originals stores in the Qatar are located in Villagio and Landmark.
