Meeza takes “The reality of the cloud services in Qatar” to regional levels

Meeza, the leading IT services and solutions provider in Qatar, has showcased the success of their recently launched services tailor-made for Commercial Bank of Qatar clients, during the region’s premiere cloud services event in Abu Dhabi.

The bank’s customers will be able to access a full portfolio of localized Cloud applications, including Payroll, E-mail, Document Management, and Web Hosting solutions. The successful provision of these services and solutions was presented at the 5th Cloud Business event in the UAE capital.

During the event, Meeza shed the light on the importance of cloud services in Qatar, as the company is keen on supporting the transition to a knowledge-based society. The success of Meeza’s partnership with Commercial Bank of Qatar, one of Qatar’s top banking institutions, represented the highlight of Meeza’s participation in the 5th Cloud Business Abu Dhabi event.

Jean-Philippe Sohier

Commenting on the new initiative, Jean-Philippe Sohier – Chief Marketing Officer, Meeza, said: “The 5th Cloud Business Abu Dhabi event is one of the most prominent assemblies of IT and cloud services professionals in the region. We realise that showcasing our success during such leading occasions will position us on the right track, as we aim at becoming the preferred IT services and solutions provider in the region”.

“The new range of services provided to Commercial Bank of Qatar clients will help Qatari companies focus on the core of their business, and eventually secure growth and prosperity. The case study we are presenting today highlights the importance of cloud computing services in Qatar, as we strive to contribute to a knowledge-based society.” he added.

Meeza, named “Gold Sponsor” of the 5th Cloud Business Abu Dhabi event, participated in the event for the 2nd time. The event spots the light on the ways cloud services are able to maintain business sustainability, and the cost efficiency of using such services.

The event took place on the 14th and 15th of May 2012, in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Cloud services deliver technologies and applications over the Internet. Small and medium businesses have been among the most aggressive adopters of cloud services; by purchasing software as hosted- or subscription-based services, businesses reduce up-front costs and are free to focus on their businesses (without requiring large in-house IT expenditure).

Earlier this year, Meeza announced the launch of two new state-of-the-art data centres, M-VAULT 2 and M-VAULT -3, which will enthuse the ICT sector in Qatar and the Middle East. The world-class Meeza Data Centres, known as M-VAULT, include managed storage, network and security systems as well as disaster recovery capabilities. With their multiple, interconnected and geographically diverse Data Centres, Meeza is uniquely positioned to offer Cloud Services to clients across the region.
