Meeza recognized as the region’s “Leader In IT” at Arab Achievements Awards

Meeza, the leading IT services and solutions provider in Qatar, has been recognized as the “Leader in IT” in the Arab World, during the prestigious Arab Achievements Awards. The ceremony took place during the renowned Arab Investment Summit, which was held in Abu Dhabi last week.

Meeza has won the award after being the first IT services and solutions provider in Qatar to be awarded with the ISO 27001:2005 and ISO 9001:2008 certificates. The certifications are awarded by the Bureau Veritas Certification and are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Meeza continues to receive awards and recognitions for the services provided to its clients on a regional level. In November 2011, the company has been honored with the Best Cloud Services Award 2011 at the third Data Centres Middle East conference in Dubai. Meeza was recognised by the Data Centre Strategies forum for their outstanding contribution to the Development of Cloud Services across the region.

Meeza was established to provide essential IT support to Qatar’s development process in close alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, and has become Qatar’s leading IT solutions and services provider.

To become certified for ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2005 standards, Meeza underwent an evaluation process by Bureau Veritas Certification of the Quality Management Systems for the scope of: “Solution Design and Provision of Services for Data Centre, Managed Services, Cloud and Work Place.”Its Information Security Management Systems underwent a separate evaluation process for the scope of: “Management of Information Security for Data Centre Comprising of Rack Space, Power, Cooling, Physical Security, Connectivity and Related Monitoring.”

ISO (International Organisation for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards for activities such as information technology, construction, mechanical engineering and agriculture.
