HP Middle East Appoints new Country Managers in Qatar

HP Middle East has appointed Bassam Zaki as Enterprise Storage, Servers and Networking  (ESSN) Country Manager and Khaled Nassef Selim as ESSN Channel Manger in Qatar, effective immediately.

Bassam brings over 19 years of multinational experience. He has held various key industry positions in the Middle-East & North Africa region.

Prior to his last position as COO for Raya IT (the largest system integrator in Egypt) Bassam was a 10 year veteran with Cisco Systems where he started in 2001 as senior account manager for its telecom business then evolved to manage sales and development teams across various market segments and geographies in the Middle East & Africa Region.

Khaled started his sales career with Fujitsu in 1989. He joined HP in 2009, in the Technology Systems Group as financial service account manager, and then he managed Business Critical Solutions in the financial and government sector in FY10 with major achievements in the Egyptian financial segment.

In their new roles, both Bassam and Khaled will be looking to grow the ESSN business in Qatar, helping to build relations with customers and partners and strengthening an already significant presence in the market for HP.

Khaled will be focusing on  the channel in Qatar, supporting the various channel programmes in place and  growing the relationship between HP and its channel partners.

“We welcome Bassam and Khaled to their new positions, they are well accomplished in their areas of expertise and this will bring new momentum to our ESSN business in Qatar,” said Alaa Al Shimy, Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking Director, HP Middle East.

Both Khaled and Bassam hold bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
