Qatari fuel shipment to enter Gaza

Israeli occupation authorities opened on Sunday the Kerem abu Salem crossing, southern Gaza Strip, to allow the entry of a new Qatari fuel shipment, needed to run the only power plant in the sector.

Gaza border official Raed Fattouh said that a limited amount of Qatari industrial fuel to run the power plant in Gaza will be pumped through Kerem abu Salem crossing. About 270 to 280 trucks loaded with aid for commercial, agricultural and transport sectors are also scheduled to enter the Strip, Fattouh said.

Limited quantities of domestic-use gas and Israeli industrial diesel for Gaza power plant will also be shipped through the same terminal, Fattouh added.
