The Supreme Council of Health issued a warning against Stem Cell treatment abroad without consulting specialists in Qatar, whether the treatment needed is available at Europe or at Arab or Gulf countries.
The Council referred to recent media circulations about the Deutch Medical Center, Cologne-based XCell-Center GmbH, which was legally sued in Germany after two patients suffered physical impairment and death as result of Stem Cell treatment at the center through application of unlicensed medical techniques.

The Supreme Council of Health noted that once an official notice about the said center received, the council notified the medical staff employed in medical treatment offices for treatment abroad with the same and warned against dealing with the said center or any of its affiliated branches in the Arab or Gulf region, if any.
