National Volleyball team line-up announced

Mr Ali Ghanim Al-Kowari, board member of Qatar Volleyball Association (QVBA) and the Deputy Chairman of Volleyball Teams Committee confirmed that the technical staff has announced the line-up of  the national volleyball team on Friday.

The team line-up includes, Ahmed Bassam (Al-Sadd), Ibraheem Mohammed (Al-Arabi), John Cheko (Police), Mohammed Al-Bashri (Al-Ahli), Ziad Abdulmajeed (Qatar SC), Ali Hamid (Al-Rayyan), Ali Ishaq (Al-Rayyan), Wander Abobaker (Police), Gomaah Faraj (Al-Arabi), Mubarak Dahi (Al-Rayyan), Said Faraj (Qatar SC), Ali Abdullah (Qatar SC), Suleiman Said (Al-Rayyan) and Ali Al-Kanaani (Al-Ahli).

Speaking to media reporters on Friday, Mr Al-Kowari said that the team will leave to Slovenia on 23 August on an international training camp where they will be  engaged in International Championship beside Netherlands, Canada and hosts Slovenia.

Following Slovenia’s camp, the national team will return to Doha where Al-Rayyan players will join their club’s training camp  in preparation for the  FIVB Volleyball Club World 2012 Championships to be  held from 13 October in Doha.
