Billiard team shine in World 9-Ball Championship

Qatar’s Billiard team consisting of Bashar Hussain, Ali Al-Obaidely, Mohammed Said and Waleed Majid confidently registered four wins  in the main round of the 2012 World 9-Ball Championship (W9BC) on Sunday.

Qatar’s Bashar Hussain defeated Kio Pai Shen of China Taipei 9-1, Ali Al-Obaidely made a narrow 9-8 victory over Egyptian, Mahmoud Al-Assal, as Mohammed Said outclassed his teammate Alaa Bata and Waleed Majid thrashed the South African Rimon 9-1.

The main round is featuring the participation of 128 players. The prestigious event brings together 224 players representing 50 nations.
