QNB launches the ABMT service through internet banking channels

Qatar National Bank, (QNB), the largest financial institution in the State of Qatar and the MENA region, in cooperation with Western Union, (NYSE: WU), a leader in global payment and money transfer services, launched the Western Union’s Account-Based Money Transfer (ABMT) service for the first time in Qatar.

The solution allows QNB customers to make instant cash transfers to any part of the world through QNB’s Internet Banking service.

This service will enable QNB customers to send money conveniently from their accounts for payout at any of Western Union’s 500,000 Agent locations in over 200 countries and territories. In addition to QNB existing regular international transfer facility, this will be a latest service where customers could conveniently send money instantly, anytime, anywhere and could track their transfer 24 X 7 through their Internet Banking service.

QNB is the first bank in Qatar to provide Western Union transfer service to its client via Internet Banking.
