Sanitarium for rehabilitation of addicts will begin in a month

HE Staff Major General Saad Bin Jassim Al Khulaifi (pictured), Director General of Public Security, Head of the Permanent Committee for Drug and Alcohol Affairs, revealed that the steps regarding establishment of medical sanitarium for the treatment of drug addicts are going in its planned way, pointing out that the work in the temporary building for the rehabilitation of addicts will begin in about a month until the completion of construction and equipping the main building of addicts rehabilitation center.

He praised, in his speaking to reporters during celebration of World Day to Combat Drugs, the efforts of all workers in anti-drug agencies in the State and their distinguished role in the field of reduction of drugs, in terms of prevention and treatment, and fighting drug smuggling and spreading, which resulted in arresting of several attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotic substances to spread them within the country.
