University roundabout to become signalized intersection

Aiming at reduced congestion and streamlined traffic movement, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has decided to convert the University Roundabout to signalized intersection with immediate effect and the works will start from Saturday, 30/06/2012.

In order to complete the works without disrupting traffic, Ashghal will introduce a traffic diversion near the University entrance and a new temporary traffic signal shall be installed at the location. As this diversion is expected to ease traffic flow, commuters are requested to follow the traffic instructions at the diversion to ensure safety of all.

Ashghal apologizes the inconveniences caused due to this diversion.
