New refreshed design Honda City arrives in Middle East

DOMASCO (Doha Marketing Services Company WLL), exclusive distributers of Honda in Qatar, have announced the long awaited arrival of new Honda City, following the recent launch of the all new CR-V earlier this year.

The new Honda City refreshed its popular “Arrow Shot Form” with new striking definitions on exterior body giving an even more dynamic presence on the road. The front fascia with its distinctive new chrome grille, renders a sophisticated sedan appeal. Well-defined front & rear bumper accentuates the sophisticated sedan appeal and new rear tail-lights now looking more stylish. The dynamic character of the City is enhanced with new design 16” alloy wheels (available on EX model).

 

In addition to the distinctive changes on the exterior styling, the new City has also received improvements to the interior, to give it a more refined feel. The dashboard instruments have been upgraded with new blue lighting to enhance premium appeal. Chrome touches have also been added to centre console for a more modern and sporty look and feel.

Demand had been outstripping supply, but this popular car is now back in stock and the changes to City make it even more appealing and better value for money.”

Packaging

The new City is longer than the outgoing model by 15 mm. Following the tradition of Honda’s “man maximum, machine minimum” concept, the City provides a lounge experience to customers with its spacious cabin. Reclining rear seats along with thoughtful and innovative storage spaces accentuate the hidden versatility of the City.

A lower driving position and class-leading cabin space provide excellent head room and mean that even the tallest driver and passengers enjoy the sensation of a much larger car. An impressive 506 litres of trunk capaCity is equivalent or bigger than vehicles above its segment and ensures easy loading and unloading.

Performance

The City comes equipped with a 1.5L, 4 cylinder new generation i-VTEC engine, delivering class-leading power of 118 hp while providing good fuel economy.

Unique in its class, the City is also equipped with 5 Speed Automatic Transmission which not only provides an improved drive performance but also improves fuel efficiency. The “Paddle Shift” option (on the EX model) brings more sporty driving performance analogous to the Honda pedigree.

Body

The higher body rigidity thanks to McPherson strut suspension at the front and H Type torsion beam suspension at the rear, offers solid road handling and a supple ride. Electric Power Steering is designed to give direct and steady manoeuvring at any speed. Improvements to the front suspension geometry and steering also help maintain a shorter turning radius of 5m.

Safety

All occupants in the Honda City are protected by a full suite of safety equipment, including ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), BA (Brake Assist), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), Dual SRS airbags and pre-tensioner seat belts, which come standard across the new City range. The City also considers pedestrian safety by incorporating G-CON (G-Force Control Technology), which controls the impact energy in the event of a collision to reduce pedestrian injury.

In-car entertainment

The City features an Advanced Integrated Audio System which allows the integration of any digital music player and delivers a high quality sound with advanced features like a DSP Equalizer. The audio system can be controlled with steering mounted controls on the EX model.

 

The Honda City is available in two trim levels – LX and EX.

Features like body colored bumpers & mirrors, power mirrors & windows, electric power steering, tilt/telescopic steering column, advanced audio system, air conditioner, fuel consumption display, ABS, SRS airbags, front seat belt pre-tensioner & load limiter are standard on both LX and EX models.

The City EX model includes additional features like paddle shift (on automatic transmission), 16” alloy wheels, fog lights, chrome door handles, side mirror with turn lamps, exhaust pipe finisher, steering wheel audio controls, keyless entry, driver seat height adjuster and reclining & folding rear seat.

The new City is available in six colours – Sparkling Brown Metallic (new), Carnelian Red Pearl (New), Brilliant White Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Polished Metal Metallic.

The all new Honda City is covered by Honda’s standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes earlier) to give you complete peace of mind.
