UK offers priority visa service in Doha

The UK Border Agency is enhancing the priority visa service which was originally introduced in March by allowing all nationals and residents of Qatar to apply for this service regardless of previous travel or the type of visa they wish to apply for, a press release issued by the British Embassy said.

Applicants may use the priority visa service to have their visa application processed ahead of others. The aim is to process applications submitted under the priority service within 48 hours of receipt at the visa application centre. The service costs QR564 in addition to the visa application fee.

Applicants under the priority visa service are required to complete and submit a UK visa application online as normal and request for the fast-track service when they attend the visa application centre operated by VFS Global in Doha.

Using the priority visa service does not guarantee that the visa application will be successful. The application must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. The fee for the priority service will not be refunded if the application is refused or, in exceptional cases, takes longer to process.

The priority visa service differs from the premium service offered at the visa application centre which provides an enhanced experience at the visa application centre including a separate premium service lounge. Using the premium service does not guarantee that ones visa will be issued or processed any quicker than other visa applications.
