Mawashi reaches out to Aman

Mawashi, Qatar’s cutting-edge livestock facility, was recognized for its continued philanthropic efforts towards Aman, the Qatar Foundation for Child and Women Protection.

Mawashi’s Managing Director, Mr Ahmad Nasser Sraiya Al Kaabi was handed a certificate of appreciation for his efforts to reach out to the organization with food supplies as a means to alleviate the needs of the less privileged families in Qatar.

Mr Ahmad Nasser Sraiya Al Kaabi said: “We’re very honored and grateful for this wonderful acknowledgement by the Aman foundation which we firmly believe in its key role for the betterment of our society. At Mawashi, corporate social responsibility is a top priority on our organizational agenda. It is also a corporate lifestyle which we embrace throughout our work culture and at every level. Being conscious corporate citizens is the crux of our business endeavors and therefore we are constantly on the lookout for ways to support the community we live and work in.” 

Mawashi has a long-lasting track record in social responsibility and is a devout supporter of various organizations in Qatar such as the Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking, Qatar Shelter Organization and other academic institutions and centers.

Established in November 2002, the Qatar Foundation for Child and Women Protection is a private institution that acts in the public interest of protecting victims of domestic and social violence. The foundation is committed to the principles and teachings of Shari’a, the Qatari Constitution and international agreements and conventions on the rights of children and women.

The foundation aims at spearheading awareness and cultural programmes in collaboration with relevant authorities in the country and abroad, providing social and legal consultations as well as legal assistance to victims, collecting information on cases of abuse and violence and offering shelter to victims in addition to a host of integrated care services for treatment and rehabilitation.

Mawashi has recently bagged another global accolade at the 16th International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention at Paris, France for being an exemplar in quality and excellence in service.
