Vodafone Qatar launches Global Masters Programme

As a benefit to being part of a huge international organisation, Vodafone Qatar is leveraging global leaders from across the organisation worldwide to contribute to the development of the local people in Qatar.

At an event which took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Doha, Vodafone’s Group Human Resources Director Mr. Ronald Schellekens, shared with Vodafone Qatar’s leadership team on what it takes to be a successful leader in a multi national organisation.

The Global Masters programme is a new development programme for leaders. The programme brings experienced leaders from across the Vodafone group to run seminars with the leadership team in Qatar. The purpose of the Global Masters programme is to both develop and connect leaders in Qatar with Vodafone globally.

Vodafone is deeply committed to the development of its people, especially leaders. The Global Masters programme is a very innovative way that Vodafone Qatar can benefit from the vast experience we have within Vodafone globally for the development of our people in Qatar. I was impressed by the quality of the diverse group of leaders attending the session. This was the first Global Masters programme and I know my colleagues from around the world will similarly enjoy sharing their expertise with Vodafone Qatar,” said Ronald Schellekens, Vodafone’s Group Human Resources Director.

Ronald has inspired the diverse team of leaders with his personal leadership journey, sharing the lessons he has learned along the way and offering his perspective on what makes great leadership.

“We were delighted to launch this innovative programme in Qatar where we can learn from leaders who are truly subject matter experts in their field. We were especially privileged to have Ronald Schellekens as our first Global Master and the feedback we received from the participants was excellent. We have a great line up of  speakers from around our global organisation from all disciplines for future Global Masters seminars which we will be running on a regular basis throughout the year, “ said Jan Mottram Human Resources Director for Vodafone Qatar.
