Get him to the Greek! – Mr Gyros makes its Doha debut

Mr Gyros – the authentic taste of Greece – has announced the opening of its first ‘diner-style’ restaurant in Doha and the Middle East, on July 10.

The exciting new venture – the first of its kind in Qatar – has a superb city centre location on Salwa Road in Al Jazeera Petrol Station. Seating 30 in ‘American diner’-style surroundings, Mr Gyros offers world-beating and authentic gyros – the famous Greek interpretation of shawarma – as the bedrock of a Mediterranean menu. 

Greek cuisine is noted for being fast, fresh and flavoursome – and healthy, too. Mr Gyros offers gyros as a taste of Greece, as well as other Mediterranean and American cooking, to make up what is overall a very ‘international’ menu. Mr Gyros has a commitment to using only the freshest and finest ingredients to create dishes that deliver a taste explosion all the way from Greece – via halal-certified meat packers in Chicago, US.

While the menu is packed with old favourites, Mr Gyros uses the latest technology to get the dish of your choice to your table. The menus are displayed on iPad tablet computers and the waiters take diners’ orders on their iPhones. Order information goes straight to the kitchen – and the food to the table in a trice. 

The selection on offer at Mr Gyros goes beyond the outrageously good gyros themselves and also includes a range of salads – drizzled with a secret homemade dressing – pizzas and burgers. The international theme continues throughout, of course, with one standout being the ‘Hercules Burger’ which is topped with sunny eggs and special Gyros Sauce. The menu also includes a variety of juices, fresh fruit salads, milkshakes and many other items.

Mr Gyros also offers a range of outside catering options – and a variety of menus – for lunches, dinners, buffets and barbecue parties, and other types of volume catering throughout Doha and beyond.
