Qtel launches new “Shop on Wheels”

Qtel has doubled its mobile shop capacity, with the launch of a new “Shop on Wheels” to offer service for customers across the country.

Since the launch of Qtel’s first Shop on Wheels in 2010, Qtel has used the innovation to travel across the country, and bring a full range of services to customers in remote locations and at public events. The new Shop on Wheels will be used to take Hala and Mobile Broadband services in particular to customers in industrial areas and in parts of the country where it is difficult to access standard Qtel Shops.

Equipped with the latest technology and staffed by Qtel customer service experts, the 6m long WiFi-enabled vehicle features a hydraulic pod, LED lighting, LCD screens, illuminated LED steps, a built-in generator, a PA system and – most importantly – the chance to sign-up for or pay bills related to for all mobile, broadband and fixed-line services.

The new shop will also enable customers to trial and purchase the latest handsets and accessories. Capable of being deployed at a moment’s notice, Qtel’s mobile shop will offer excellent service and incredible value for the whole community.

The investment forms a part of a dynamic strategy to meet growing demand from citizens, residents and visitors across Qatar for convenient, round-the-clock and high-quality telecoms services. Qtel has continued to open new Qtel Shops every year, and its nationwide network of Self-Service Machines continue to offer new features and easy access.
