Reach Out To Asia’s Ramadan 2012 Project will bring a great blessing for some 200 families in need in Qatar at a time of year when they traditionally struggle with increased food prices.
ROTA’s Ramadan 2012 Project, sponsored by OXY, sparked into life on Saturday 7th July as ROTA volunteers came together to pack and bulk groceries for families in need before three nights of groceries distribution which began on Monday 9th July.
Among the groceries being packed and distributed by ROTA volunteers are rice, oil, milk and flour. By the time all groceries are distributed on Wednesday 11th July, ROTA Volunteers will have given out basic food items for 200 families and donated 14 hours to help those less fortunate members of society.
“ROTA’s Ramadan 2012 Project seeks to provide essential food items to society’sleast fortunate individuals, who suffer day in and day out from their economic, social, and personal conditions,” says ROTA Executive Director Mr. Essa Al Mannai.
“We would also like to say a special thank you to our partners who have made ourRamadan 2012 Project possible and thank each of the volunteers who for all their hard work packing and distributing bulk groceries to those most in need in our communities.”
