Qatar down Australia in Beach Handball World Championship

Qatar’s handball team made an impressive performance in the Beach Handball World Championship 2012 to record a convincing 2-0 win over Australia on  Wednesday.

Wednesday’s victory braced the national beach  handball team to revive their dream for the seventh place overall at the championship as a qualifying position for world Cup next year.

Some 12 teams are competing  in the men’s tournament divided into two groups where Qatar  is pooled in  group (B) alongside Croatia, Egypt, Spain, Uruguay, and Kuwait, as  group (A) includes Oman, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Bahrain, and Australia.
