GE Aviation readies engine repair facility in Qatar

GE Aviation has announced its engine maintenance facility in Qatar Science & Technology Park will start inducting engines for maintenance very soon, Gulf Times has reported.

The company’s On-Wing Support facility in Qatar is the newest addition to GE’s support global footprint, which includes locations in Cincinnati and Dallas in the US, and London, Seoul, and Shanghai. “We are training engineers from all airlines in the region in our state-of-the-art facility since opening in April 2011, and now we are ready to receive engines for maintenance activities,” Omer Fayyaz, technical planner and logistics co-ordinator, told the daily.
