St. Regis Doha partners with ROTA for Ramadan fundraising

The St. Regis Doha will work with Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) during the Holy Month of Ramadan to help raise funds for Teknaf, an area in Bangladesh that has been affected by cyclonic storms in recent years.

As part of its support, from 10 August to 16 August 2012 The St. Regis Doha will donate QR 5 to ROTA for every Iftar served at the hotel. Funds raised will be used to support ROTA’s project in Teknaf to provide non-formal education for children in the area and encourage more children to return to primary school, as well as providing skills training for local youths.

The project aims to build safe and secure learning centres, provide educational materials and support clean sanitation and hygiene facilities for the children.

ROTA is a dedicated supporter of the United Nations’ “Education for All” program, and is working to increase access to education in Bangladesh. The charity’s educational projects have helped many hundreds of families and individuals over the years, especially during the Holy Month.

Reach Out To Asia’s work has helped thousands of people and inspires us all, so we are proud to partner with them in this key project for Bangladesh. The St. Regis Doha has transformed its ballroom into an Arabian style tent for the Holy Month of Ramadan, with private cabanas where families can gather and enjoy traditional specialties. 

Supported by the famous St. Regis Butler Service, friends and family can relax and enjoy live music and an enchanting atmosphere. The hotel will make a direct contribution to the ROTA Ramadan Campaign for every guest that books an Iftar over the special seven day period from 10 August.

The St. Regis Doha tent serves Iftar daily from sunset to 7:30pm, and Suhour from 9:00pm until 2:00am. Price is 250 QR for Iftar and 290 QR for Suhour including beverages.
