The Submission to “Made in Qatar” is still open till the 10th of August

Doha Film Institute invites all filmmakers in Qatar to submit their films to the “Made in Qatar” section. The winner of the competition will receive a Development prize of $10,000 (USD) towards future film project.

In order to be eligible for the “Made in Qatar” section, the film must be a narrative or documentary of any length and the writer, director or producer is a Qatari national or a non-Qatari who lives in Qatar. If not, the majority of the film must be shot in Qatar or the story is based on or about Qatar.

The “Made in Qatar” section is a significant platform that creates the opportunity of publicity and exposure on a regional and international scale. In Last year’s DTFF, the winner, ‘A Falcon, A Revolution’ by Jassim Al Romaihi and Mohamed Al Islam was showcased in the short film corner in Cannes Film Festival, participated in short film competition in Tribeca Film Festival, won the “Most Promising Films” category at Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival and in was screened in Tokyo’s Short Shorts Film Festival among many other festivals.
