Energy Minister attends annual iftar of QP’s Dukhan Operations

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP), was the special guest at the Annual Iftar 2012 organized on July 30 by QP’s Dukhan Operations.

The event, which was held at the Dukhan Recreation Club, was attended by many senior QP officials, including Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, QP Board Member and Director Oil & Gas Ventures; and Mr. Said Mubarak Al-Mohannadi, Director Operations. Also present at the event were other directors and department managers, division heads and dignitaries from Doha and Dukha. The Iftar was hosted by Mr. Ahmad Saif Al-Sulaiti, Operations Manager-Dukhan Fields.

During the event, the guests witnessed a series of traditional activities, including the firing of the Iftar cannon at 6:25 PM.

After the Iftar, H.E. Dr. Al-Sada inaugurated the Injazat exhibition organized by Dukhan’s Integrated Facilities Management Department. The exhibition showcased a visual presentation of the achievements over the years of Dukhan Operations. Every screen in the exhibition serves as a window that takes the viewer to the past with the first discovery of oil in Dukhan, to the present time, and to the future of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.

At the end of the event, H.E. Dr. Al-Sada expressed his appreciation for the range of activities organized by QP during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
