Recent road announcements from Ashghal

Partial Closure on Bin Haithem Street:

Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announces a temporary closure of one lane of Bin Haithem Street at the stretch between Al Farabi Street Intersection and B Ring Road Intersection, as in the illustrative map, from 3rd August to 7th September 2012.

This diversion is in order to complete the draiange pipeline extension works at Al Farabi Street. While apologising the inconveniences caused, Ashghal appeals all commuters to abide by the traffic guidelines.

Partial Closure of Garrafa Road:

Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announces a partial closure on the Garrafa Road at the stretch extending from Ahmad bin Ali Roundbaout upto Eid bin Mohamed Roundabout, as illustrated in the attached map. The closure will be in effect for a period of 20 days beginning from Saturday, 04/08/2012 .

The closure as part of the works of upgrading the street to three lanes in both directions. As the work is implemented in two phases, the slow traffic lane and emergency parking lane on both directions shall be closed for expansion works. The speed lane shall be expanded in the second phase.

While apologising any incoveniences caused, Ashghal appeals all commuters to abide by the traffic instructions along the diversion.

Asiri Interchange to be Closed at Nights:

Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announces temporary closure of Asiri Interchange at nights for a period of (15) days from Saturday, 4th August 2012. This inevitable closure is for fixing the traffic singal lights at the Interchange.

The interchange shall remain closed from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am during the period of work and commuters shall divert their route before the interchange. Ashghal apologises the incoveniences due to this closure.
