Qatar Coral’s exciting and unique social media campaign driven through Instagram for Ramadan to promote their VB22 and VB23 towers titled “#Ramadangram” finally came to a glorious end with seven lucky winners walking away with the latest Apple®iPads and a Nikon® D-90 camera.
The weeklong campaign which started on 29th July and went on till 5th August 2012 took the country by storm and witnessed immense participation from people of all ages and from all walks of life. The enthralling campaign was the first of its kind in Qatar which engaged the participants on all the three social media platforms namely Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Leveraging, the much popular mobile photo-sharing app Instagram, Qatar Coral’s #Ramadangram, which included the Garangao night, gave the people of Qatar, the unique opportunity to capture and showcase their special Ramadan moments through their eyes and also win some cool prizes which included 7 Apple® iPads for 7 days and a Nikon® D-90 DSLR camera in the process.

The campaign which required the participants to have an Instagram and Twitter account and more importantly follow Qatar Coral on their Twitter Page @qatarcoral to participate included daily winners winning the newest Apple® iPad and a special prize of Nikon® D-90 camera which was awarded to the winner of the “Best Garangao Picture” taken on the Garangao night. The winners were decided by a panel of judges from Qatar Coral and the pictures including the winning pictures were posted on all three social networking sites, and was featured as the ‘Photo of the day’ on Qatarisbooming.com.
The #Ramadangram campaign resulted in generating a total 1,352 tweets (twitter @qatarcoral) 150 participants with over 1,600 photos entered for the campaign (instagram @qatarcoral). The Qatar Coral Facebook page (www.facebook.com/qatarcoral) got an overwhelming response with a total of 1,629 ‘Likes’.
Seven winners of the daily Apple® iPads were: Jasseem Mahmood, Thariq Khurshid, Luabib Gazir, Fatima Al Rumaihi, Georgian Trifan, Maryam and Syeda Sara Sultana.
The Winner of the Garangao night who won the Nikon® D-90 camera was Miss Afnan Jalees. Winners were awarded the prizes by Mr. Ziad El-Khalil at a Suhoor organized by Qatar Coral at La Cigale Hotel.
