Following the opening of the WISE Awards nominations in April/May this year, the 25 finalists have now been announced.
This year the selection committee choose four projects from Canada, four from The USA, three from India, two from Ireland and one from Argentina, Pakistan, China, Ghana, Denmark, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Cambodia, Nepal and Kenya.
In September six of these 24 finalists will be announced as winners of the WISE Award and will be showcased at the annual WISE Summit, November 13-15, 2012, in Doha, Qatar, where they will benefit from substantial media visibility, helping promote their achievements and developments, as well as receiving $20,000 (US) each.
Now in their 4th year, the WISE Awards recognize and spotlight innovative educational projects from around the world, and from all educational sectors, which have had a transformative impact upon education and society.
