The conference is being held at a time the entire world looks at climate change and the technologies and initiatives that can be used to mitigate it. In this region of the world, energy efficiency is essential – air conditioning accounts for 70% of the electricity consumption in Qatar and Qatar Cool’s system uses 50% of the energy utilized in conventional cooling systems
District Cooling has proven to be one of these technologies and Qatar Cool is the largest supplier of district cooling in Qatar having also built and currently operating the largest integrated district cooling plant in the world located on The Pearl-Qatar.
IDEA is a non-profit trade association that supports the growth and utilization of district energy as a means to conserve fuel, increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions to improve the global environment.
IDEA hosts the conference and trade show annually to showcase the latest technologies and equipment in the district energy industry. The event allows attendees—including energy professionals, consultancies, government agencies and system developers —the opportunity to learn more about district cooling from a global perspective and meet with a variety of vendors and suppliers.
