QP holds its annual Ramadan Ghabga

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP), joined senior officials of QP and top management of QP joint ventures and subsidiaries in celebrating Ghabga at the St. Regis Hotel on Thursday night.

The event, which is hosted annually by QP on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, was attended by over 150 guests made up of QP directors and department managers as well as the CEOs, managing directors and other top executives of QP joint ventures and subsidiaries.

“This year’s Ghabga is an occasion for the leaders of Qatar’s oil and gas and petrochemical sector to come together in a spirit of brotherhood and friendship, and it is an opportunity for us to celebrate one of the renowned Gulf traditions of Ramadan,” said H.E. Dr. Al-Sada.

During the event H.E. the Minister mingled with the guests and QP Directors and discussed various topics of interest to boost ties among the various directorates and companies in the oil and gas sector.

Organized by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department, the Ghabga event featured a sumptuous buffet that was enjoyed by all the guests. A live band played traditional Arabic music throughout the evening, and the hotel ballroom’s Arabian-style décor also contributed in making the event truly memorable to everyone.
