Directed by Oscar-nominated Indian filmmaker Mira Nair, the production is based on the best-selling novel of the same name and is an international political thriller following a young Pakistani Wall Street executive who gets embroiled in a hostage crisis.

The red carpet world premiere will be presented by the DFI and will take place in the Italian city on August 29. The film’s cast also includes Riz Ahmed, Liev Schreiber and Martin Donovan and was shot in Lahore, Delhi, Istanbul, New York and Atlanta.

Established in May 2010, the DFI finances and produces filmmaking in the Gulf state and its previous big screen release was ‘Black Gold’, which starred Antonio Banderas, ‘Just Like a Woman’ staring Sienna Miller and Kanye West’s short film ‘Cruel Summer’.

Another film, ‘The Prophet’, due out in 2013, is currently in pre-production.
