Mawashi, Qatar’s cutting-edge livestock facility, announced today that livestock from KSA and Jordan will be offered at the same subsidized prices to consumers for the duration of Eid Al-Fitr. Sheep from KSA will be sold at QAR 950 per head and those from Jordan will be sold at QAR 800 per head. The company will also extend its working hours with its slaughterhouses opening from 5.00 am to 7.00 pm.
The subsidized prices initiative is running for the third consecutive year through the fruitful collaboration amongst the Ministry of Business & Trade, Qatar Development Bank and Mawashi and has been continuously well-received by the public owing to the role it plays in securing high-quality meat and livestock during Ramadan’s peak season at affordable prices.
A Mawashi official stated that this step strongly highlights the company’s steadfast commitment to cement well-measured fundamentals and methodologies for food pricing during Ramadan and throughout the year.

Mawashi has additionally brought to market meat and livestock from Australia amongst wide acclaim from the population of Qatar. The company has also imported different types of fresh livestock and chilled meat from Sudan, India, Pakistan, Somalia, Georgia and Ethiopia.
