IHF Super Globe to begin on 27 August

The Organising Committee of the 2012 IHF Super Globe announced that the tournament will be held from 27 August to 01 September 2012 at Gharaffa Arena in Doha. The draw for the Preliminary Round of the 2012 Super Globe took place in the capital of Qatar on Saturday 23 June.

Defending champion THW Kiel will face Mudhar (Saudi-Arabia, Asian representative), Al-Sadd (Qatar, host) and Sydney (Australia/Oceania representative) in the first stage. 2011 finalist and European representative Atletico Madrid will compete with Al-Zamalek (Egypt/Africa), Metodista Sao Bernardo (Brazil/Pan America) and Al Jeish (Qatar, wild card participant).
