The Qatari fencing team will participate in the First Arab Fencing Cup for men and women’s (Sabre) to be held in Kuwait next month with the participation of 13 Arab countries.
The Kuwait Fencing Federation Chief Abdul-Rahim Al-Saeed stressed that the competition, to be held under the auspices of the President of the Olympic Council of Asia and Chairman of the Association of the National Olympics Committees (ANOC) Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, will kick off on 14 September.
Al-Saeed, who also heads the Arab Fencing Federation, said athletes from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria and Kuwait will take part in the competition. He also unveiled that the competition will be held in the fencing halls of Al-Qadisiya Club.
