Qatari flag hoisted at Paralympic Village

The Qatari flag was hoisted at the Village of the Paralympic Games being  hosted by London from August 29 to  September 2. The flag-hoisting ceremony was attended by members of the Paralympic Games Organising Committee led by the mayor of the London 2012 Paralympic Village, Eva Loeffler, daughter of the founder of the Paralympic Games, Ludwig Guttmann, members and delegates from the Qatari embassy in London, along with Abdulqader al-Mutawaa, head of the Qatari delegation taking part in the Games.

It will be the biggest Paralympic Games ever, featuring 4,280 athletes from 166 countries who will compete in 20 sports.
