The Ritz-Carlton Doha names Hanny Wahyuni Gunawan as Director of Public Relations

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha welcomes Hanny Wahyuni Gunawan as the new Director of Public Relations to manage and heading the public relations department of the 374-room luxurious property.

A native Indonesian, Hanny has over 13 years of experience in the communication field in several industries such as advertising, media, retail and hospitality. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, she managed the public relations department at two properties of The Ritz-Carlton in Jakarta: The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan and The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place.

Hanny started her hospitality industry career in 1999 as a Public Relations Coordinator at one of five star hotel in Jakarta before heading the public relations department at one of the international luxury property as Director of Public Relations in 2000. Moving to another industry, she then joined an international advertising agency to handle several major international accounts and one of WTA tennis tournament before moving to another industry of pay TV in 2006 to oversee the company’s brand and marketing communications strategy and activities.

The magnet of hospitality industry had brought her back to the league by joining the pre-opening team of a historical landmark hotel in Jakarta then becoming task force team at one of the international luxurious property in Egypt. Despite of her busy schedule, she still can manage her time for traveling to several parts of the world and do some readings.

“I’m very delighted to be part of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha at this wonderful time,” states Hanny. “I love the challenge as it presents and I trust that together with all of our Ladies & Gentlemen here that we can carrying out our service mission.”
