Kahramaa surveys customer services

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “Kahramaa” signed a consultancy  contract with Nielsen company to evaluate customer satisfaction of services.

The contract comes in Kahramaa endeavor to promote and improve services provided to customers. The company will conduct a comprehensive survey for three months to evaluate services provided to customers at electricity and water sectors.

Eng. Abdulla Al-Theyab Quality & Continual Improvement Department Manager said, “the development of Kahramaaservices is one of Kahramaa objectives it endeavor to achieve” adding that the surveys comes in line with Kahramaa strategies to measure customer satisfaction of services and procedures to cope with the local and international standards. “for the realization of this end, Kahramaa intends to bridge the gap between the corporation and customers by setting strategies and developing services” he clarified.

The survey is expected to be complete by the end of this year. The survey covers customer services, standby offices, as well as building permit complex.

Al-Theyab said, “the survey will target a great segment of customers to ensure precise results and transparently treat disadvantages. The survey is first of kind”.

Eng. Moza Al-Tamimi continual improvement engineer said, “such studies and surveys meant to communicate with customers and get their feedback is one of Kahramaa basic strategies for development. It reflects Kahramaa endeavor to promote services provided to customers.”

It is worth to mention that Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “Kahramaa” was established in July 2000 10  to regulate and maintain the supply of electricity and water to customers. Kahramaa has the privilege of being the sole transmission and distribution system owner and operator (TDSOO) for the electricity and water sector in Qatar. 

Kahramaa buys, distributes and sells electricity and water. It formulates Power & Water Purchase Agreements (PWPA), owns, constructs and operates electricity & water transmission and distribution networks, sets-up plans and programs for the development of electricity & water networks, lays out relevant regulations, and provides consultancy services related to its activities.
