Qtel rewards Qatar’s olympic champions

Qtel today rewarded Qatar’s Olympic champions with special prizes to mark their historic achievements.

Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah and Mutaz Essa Barshim, who both received bronze medals at the London Olympics 2012, were presented with QR100,000 by Qtel CEO Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani at a special ceremony at the Qtel Tower today.

Al-Attiyah received his bronze in the men’s skeet (rifle shooting) competition, while Barshim won his medal in the men’s high jump.

Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, CEO, Qtel Qatar, said: “We are delighted to present this award to Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah and Mutaz Essa Barshim. We are proud of their achievements and we hope their example will inspire other Qatari nationals to get involved in sport and a healthy lifestyle.”

Qtel has a proud record of being a major supporter of sport at all levels in Qatar. It was the Official Sponsor of the Qatar Olympic Committee for the London 2012 Olympics.
