Qatar to take on Japan in Asian Men’s Youth Handball

The Qatari handball team will take on Japanese counterparts in the 5th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship in Manama on Monday.

Youth handball team opened their campaign in the championship with a convincing 40-10 victory over Oman, outclassed Kuwait 24/18 in the second match on Friday and defeated Iraqi counterparts 22/18 on Saturday. The 5th Men’s Youth Handball Championship is taking place from 6 to  15 September in Manama city of Bahrain.

The Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship is the official competition for youth men’s national handball teams of Asia, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the Asian champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Youth World Championship.
