The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday named Saleh al Hamad al Mana Company as the platinum sponsor of the 9th edition of the International Exhibition of Internal Security ‘Milipol Qatar’, supporting the event with QR300,000.
Chairman of Milipol Qatar Committee Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al Thani, who announced the sponsorship at a press conference, said the company has also booked a 204-square metre space for its pavilion in the expo. Brigadier Thani and Chairman of Saleh al Hamad al Mana Company Hisham Saleh al Mana signed the sponsorship agreement on behalf of the MoI and the company respectively.
The exhibition will be held at the Doha International Exhibition Centre from October 8 to 12 under the patronage of the Heir Apparent His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani. It will showcase innovative products and services in the public and industrial security sector.
The trade exhibition dedicated to internal security is organised by the Ministry of Interior at an interval of two years since 1996. Speaking at the press conference Brig Thani said he was delighted that this year’s edition of the exhibition is attracting the support major companies and brand names.
“In our preparations for this important international event that has achieved great success in the field of security, we have seen large corporations and manufactures show great interest in showcasing their latest safety and security products this year,” he said.
For his part, Mana said the Milipol Qatar exhibition has become one of the key international events attracting many companies specialising in security, safety and civil defence products as well as key dignitaries across the GCC region.
“This year we have invested around QR1 million in building our pavilion on an space exceeding 200 square metres and other operational expenses in the preparation for the exhibition. Milipol is a major event on Qatar’s agenda. It is an important platform for national companies to meet decision-makers from government and security authorities,” he said.
He added, “It is very important for us to provide various models of cars that we represent, especially Nissan Patrol, which has proved to be reliable for security operations. The Nissan Qatar will display a series of vehicles that are specifically used as Police Patrol cars in the country. In addition, a special ambulance vehicle modified on the Nissan Urvan platform will be showcased at the expo.” Mana praised Brigadier Thani and his team in making the exhibition a successful event.
“We salute the dedication of the planning team in ensuring that the exhibition continues to gain more popularity. We are also delighted to support this national cause,” he said.
