The Strategic Planning Department (SPD) of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has conducted a field survey to examine the level of residents’ satisfaction on services rendered by Fire Prevention Department at General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) and its different sections.
The survey, carried out in one week, was as part of the Civil Defence efforts to implement its operational plans. A questionnaire on two points- assessment of licensing system and assessment of services offered- was distributed among the residents.
SPD Director Colonel Abdul Rahman Majid al Sulaiti said the survey was the second of its kind carried out in Fire Prevention Department as part of the SPD work plan for the year 2012-2013. He said the first one was conducted in 2010. The surveys are important tools to measure the progress in achieving the goals of ministry strategy for 2011-2016 with the aim of promoting ‘Construction Safety and Reduction of Fires by Half’ initiative.
