To showcase its dedication to the progress of the Qatari financial markets and capitalise on investment opportunities across the globe; Commercialbank is sponsoring the Capital Markets Conference being held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha on 18-19 September, 2012.

The main focus of the Capital Markets Conference this year will be the lessons learnt from current financial conditions in regional and international markets, and discussions around the necessity to develop bond markets in fiscal surplus countries. The Conference also highlights what the role of the state should be in the progression of these markets. The discussions focusing on the GCC region will touch on the motivations for developing debt markets and also on successful methods of financing infrastructure.

Andrew Stevens, Group CEO of Commercialbank, said: “Commercialbank is proud to be gold sponsor of the Capital Markets Conference. Sponsorship of this prestigious event being held in Qatar, one of the fastest growing economies in the world, is a testament to our commitment to our national vision. The range and number of financial deals taking place in Qatar have made it an important market for sovereign and international players.
